I found this really badass picture on Facebook of the beginning of Day 2 – where all the riders leave the county fairgrounds to begin their journey into Austin. Riders going to the left side of the photo are heading to the Express Route, while riders turning to the right side of the photo are heading toward Bastrop National Park and the ‘Challenge Route.’ The two route meet up at lunch.

I believe it was taken later in the morning after a majority of the riders had already left but as you can see there are still hundreds and hundreds of riders waiting for the next wave to start…
